What is a Glory Kill?

When a demon takes enough damage it staggers, highlighted with an orange glow when close enough. The Slayer can then perform a Glory Kill melee finisher destroys the demon and drops health.

This mechanic is central to Doom Eternal's design: aggression for survival. Players are rewarded for staying in close combat and keeping the "Kill, Gather, Kill" gameplay loop.

  • Restores health on execution
  • Unique animation per demon type and Slayer position

How to Trigger

  1. Deal enough damage to stagger the demon
  2. Move close enough to the enemy
  3. Press the melee button to execute

Demon Classes

Tier 1

Common Demons

The bulk of the horde. Imps, Soldiers, and Possessed. Easy to stagger and kill, glory Kills are quick and plentiful.

Tier 2

Heavy Demons

Tougher demons like the Hell Knight, Revenant, and Arachnotron. Require focused fire to stagger but reward with more health and ammo when Glory Killed.

Tier 3

Super Heavy Demons

The most dangerous demons. Barons of Hell, Marauders, and Mancubus demand precise technique, survivability, and weapon switching to bring down. Major health and ammo rewards.
